FiUbanm and Gutherie transacted business in Rensselaer Friday. —Mr. Halm who lived near Morocco, has moved on the Headquarter turn and will try i gardening this year. —Mrs. Schofield of Fair Oaks, visited her husband, at Comer. Friday, where he is engaged in carpenter work. —Dredge No. S will be completed and ready for work in three weeks. It will begin work near Zadoc. and go north. —B. J. Gifford started his hydraulic dredge boat Thursday, but broke the shaft on the ■water wheel and had to send to Kankakee for repairs. —L. B. Hewitt is anlarging his poultry house. Hethinks becan raise turkeysenough to pick the potato bugs off the vines and save buying parts green. Next. -Mr. Lewis off Buffalo. N. Y-. visited has sou. Frank Lewis, but week. He eras very much pleased with this country and thinks some of locating here permanently. —Building has begun after a week's lay off , it being too bud weather to work at Comer.
