Jack Hammond of Detroit knocked out George Ryan of Milwaukee in the fourth round at Milwaukee. The All-Star bowling club won another series of games from the Cincinnati experts, beating them five straight gamea. A new toe weight has been invented, loaded with quicksilver, which can easily he run out, thus lessening the weight when desired. The opinion seems to be gaining ground that, if harness racing is made two in three, instead of best three in five, it will prove popular with the public. “Of course, I am the champion pugilist of the world,” says Jim Corbett. “I have challenged the only man who ever beat me, and he refsses to fight me. What better claim could a man have than that?”
