I'• ' * I —August Schultz is seen daily hauling corn to Parr. j —Judy & Wood are completing a large implement shed. —Most of the boys are cutting wood now for a livelihood. —The elevators claim the bulk j of the corn is in for this year. —Miss Vice Leach was the guest |of Mrs. M. O. Gant Tuesday. —Mrs. D. E. Hudson and Victor Bringle are on the sick list. —W. V. Hudson is talking of going to Lafayette to get a job of work. —John McCurtain shot and ; crippled a wolf near our town last week. —Prayer meeting every Tuesday night and Sunday school every Sunday at Parr. —David Elder has contracted to build August Schultz a barn in the near future. —Mr. and Mrs. M. O. Gant were blessed with an eight pound girl a short time ago. —Several from our town went to Rensselaer to attend the funeral of Dr. Alter the 15th. —Go to the drug store for your grip medicine and to Garriott <fc Gant for your groceries. —Clias. Martin is talking of going over on the Gifford ranch and renting a farm this spring. —Mr. W. L. Wood has just returned from Ohio where he attended the funeral of his uncle. —Elmer Stephenson is teaching the high grade this week on account of Mr. Bringle being sick * —Valentines were all the rage here the 14th, at least some of the boys were raging Ixefore it was over with. —Babcock & Porter's elevator claims to have shipped 3(> cars of corn from here this winter. Pretty good for a small elevator. —Parr is a thriving little town of 80 inhabitants, with a pretty good country surrounding it; with two general stores, two grain eleva- j tors one blacksmith shop and one j drug store, and other business in 1 general.
