NEWTON TOWNSHIP.
—Mrs. James Lane is on the sick list. —Victcr Krasney is visiting Chicago friends this week. —Wallace Miller spent Sunday with Chester Halstead. —Miss Kate Mauck is visiting friends at Monticello. —Lee Mauck returned from a few days visit at Monticello. , —Edward and Ida Lane spent Sunday with Miss Rose Guildenzoff. —Frank Shindelar was the guest of Miss Julia Krasney Saturday evening. —Jos. Thomas and family Sundayed with Mrs, Thomas’ parents. Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Shindelar, of Parr. —The masquerade at Mr. and Mrs. James Yeoman’s west of town, was well attended and everyone reports a grand time. The evening was spent in playing games and with music and singing. Alt varieties of masks were seen and many denominations represented. The guests present were: J. W. Duvall and wife Reuben Yeoman E.
