The Democrat recently stated that the cutting out of pages was an unheard of way of correcting errors of record. The republican press circle here says it is a very common occurrence. Now we do not like to take their unsupported word for it, but if they will secure affidavits from three of the ninety-two present county auditors of Indiana that this is their usual method of correcting errors, or that they ever corrected an of an important record in that way, we will knock under and admit that we were wrong in saying it was an unheard of thing. Now, gentlemen if your statements are true and “there is nothing wrong in it,* 7 it is certainly a very easy matter to find three men out of ninety-two who would make affidavit to that effect. Come, now, either back up your wild statements or recede and dry up. Subscribe for The Democrat.
Pulaski County, Ind., Court House, erected in 1896. This is said to be the finest and most complete court house for its cost in the state. The total cost including furniture, fixtures, yard grading, coping, walks and everything complete, was $62,000. Pulaski is our adjoining county on the east and a large majority of our readers are very familiar with the county and many have seen this court house. The county has an area of 430 square miles and its population in 1890 was 11,233, while Jasper’s was 11,185.
