Gorton Miller, who ha9 been the paator of St. raul's episcopal church here for the last two years, informed L13 congregation today that he had concluded to rast hit lot with the Christian church. For more than a half century ho lived on his farm within three miles of Picknell and during all that time was only known to viit town twice. H.a wife died hevernl years nzo leaving her husband to care for an imbecile daughter who he managed by matting a priHon of one room in the house and keeping her confined therein for three years. Twice tho girl made her escape and roamed the woods in a perfectly nude condition. The neighbors finally took the matter in hand and after a desperate figiit with the father rescued in r from durance vile and had her placed in an asyium where she died two years later. Seven years no tho old mni yot mad at a two-year-old rolt that jumped a fence and swore that the animal would never again attempt the feat. To guard against a recurrence of tho act he fastened the animal in n box-stall where it had remained ever since, unable to move out of its tracks until liberated todav.
