It is fearless and bold in its attacks on Republicanism and candidates of the opposition who have any crookedness they would like to hide. It is a good State paper for general news, having an able corps of correspondents and editors, Fountain and Warren Democrat The Indianapolis Sentinel comes to us daily filled with the very best political matter and the cream of the general news. The Sentinel is just the paper for Democrats. It is pre-eminently a Democratic paper, bold, fearless, and always on the watch for the enemy. Every Democrat who is able to take a daily raper should subscribe for the Sentinel. fiancock Democrat. The Indiana State Sentinel advertisement may be found in the Public Press supplement of this week. As the Democratic State organ, the Sentinel has always done its duty, and every Democrat in the State ought to subscribe for it, especially as its cost but $1 Kr year. It is about as good a paper as the iblic Press, and that is saying a great deal.' New Albany Public Press. We would call attention to the prospectus of the Indianapolis Weekly Sentinel which appears in this issue of the Sentinel. Next to the county paper comes the State organ and the Sentinel is well worthy the patronage of every Democrat It has labored zealously for the party, it is well worth the money asked for it and it should have a generous patronage. Huntington Democrat. The Indianapolis Sentinel is the best Democratic paper in the State, and is deserving the patronage of all fair men. Its view of the tariff is the only fair and right view. Its varions features, including farm and household interests, are well edited and valuable, and its price places it within the reach of all. Ladoga Leader, (Independent) Ye publish the prospectus of the Indianapolis State Sentinel this week and call the attention of our readers to this wide-awake journal. Much credit is due the Sentinel for our splendid success in last fall's campaign, and the work to be perfomed in the coming canvass, commencing with the first of the new year, the friends of Democracy can count on a sure ally in the Sentinel. Blufton Banner. The Indianapolis Sentinel now justly claims a more than ordinary notice. We' most heartily recommend it to our Democratic friends and the public eenerally as being a most energetic and enterprising newspaper. Its articles are fearless and independent, and always have the ring of Democratic principles. No Democrat should be without the Daily or Weekly Sentinel.-Cory-don Democrat The New Castle Democrat says: "The undaunted pluck and splendid moral heroism displayed by the Sentinel jn the late campaign, should enshrine it in the heart of every Democrat worthy to bear that honored name. Fearless, with bare arm and uplifted sword, it sprang into the lists, and singling out the enemy's chosen champion, regarding not the snarling curs that yelped and snapped about its feet, overthrew and completely vanquished him. It was not alone a great and glorious victory that the Sentinel won over threat and brag and bluster, but a lesson was taught that will not be forgotten for many a long day. Success to the Sentinel." The Indianapolis Sentiner.is a model as a fearless, outsjoken and enterprising Democratic organ. It has few equals in the West, and surely no superiors. Hon. John C. Shoemaker has built up a paper of which Indiana Democrats have reason to be proud. To Mr. Shoemaker, more than to any other man, belongs the credit of saving the State to the Democracy last fall, and his reward should come In the shape of an earnest support from hja political friends. ought to reach every Democratic family in the State, and to all persons who desire a "true blue" paper, we recommend the Sentinel. "Wabash Timep. If our readers are desirous of being in possession of a first-class city weekly we know of none better to recommend than the Weekly Sentinel. It is bright, newsy, and has an excellent farm department where evervthing of interest to the farmer is brought out. The Weekly Sentinel is devoted largely to agriculture, with enough miscellaneous and political matter to make it just the paocr for the farmer. Salem Democrat We have had occasion to say in these columns before and repeat it here, that the Weekly Sentinel is deserving of a good patronage in Shelby County. The Indianapolis Sentinel, the organ of the Democracy of this State, is a true exponent of the iolitical principles which it advocates, and should be patronized liberally by the Democrats ot Vermillion County. It would not hurt our Republican friends to read it. It is a good idea to read both sides of the political question. We have been a reader of the Sentinel for twenty years, and exject to be as long as we live. Hoosier State Independent . Every Democrat in the State should, if

It is our own State paper and is devoted to and represents Indiana's interests, political, industrial and social, as no foreign paier will or can do. Krankfort Crescent. It is needless to impress upon our readers the value of the sterling State paper, the Indianapolis Sentinel. As a general news purveyor it is unexcelled, and as a Simon pure exponent of Democracy it is the acknowledged organ of the party of Indiana. Hon. John C. Shoemaker, proprietor, is doing all in his power to improve the paper and enlarge the sphere of its usefulness. Every Democrat in Howard County ought to take the Sentinel and urge his neighbor to do likewise. Kokomo Dispatch. In this issue will be found the prospectus of the State Sentinel, which gives full particulars and terms of that paper. The Sentinel is ably edited and has excellent facilities for gleaning news from all portions of Indiana. We commend the proposition of the Sentinel to the thoughtful consideration of our readers and would be pleased to see its circulation largely increased in Benton County. Benton Review. We are not much given to puffing up other papers, but the Indianapolis Sentinel has in late years been so greatly improved in appearnnce as well as contents that we feel it our duty to say a good word for it to the E?ople ot Clay County. What the Democrat is to Clay County in politics the Sentinel is to tne State, and as such it is deserving of a generous support in every county from its Democratic friends. All persons who desire to keep thoroughly poste 1 upon the political issues of the day and what is going on in all parts of the world should at once subscribe for that reliable and sterling Democratic newspaper, the Indianapolis Sentinel. To that paper the Democracy of Indiana largely owes its success in 1884, when it so nobly held at bay and conquered Jim Blaine, better known as the "Plumed Knight." The paper is even better now than it was then. It gives all the important news of happening in the world; its monetary and market reports are fresh and reliable, while its editorials are spirited unsurpassed. Scott County Democrat, The attitude of the Sentinel during the late campaign, together with its general excellence, makes it highly commendable to the Democracy of Indiana, and they should render it a welcome visitor into every household in the land where integrity and firmness of purpose are admired. No other paper had the backbone to champion the cause of Democracy in the manner the Sentinel did. Thoroughly Democratic and at all times watchful and vigilant it constitutes such a reliable paper as is not surpassed in the field of journalism. To the Democrats of Fountain County we say stand by the Sentinel. It stood by you and our cause. You can not give it too warm a reception. The Peoples Friend. who last year voluntarily got up quite a large club for the Sentinel, and took with him when he met with the Electoral Colleee, has consented to act with the editor of this paper in receiving and sending in the names of all who may wish the Sentinel. Let there be clubs formed at every postomce in the county, and by the 1st of ovember let us send in at least 100 new subscribers. We take pleasure in laying before our readers, in this issue of the Herald the prospect US of that faithful and efficient organ of the Democracy of the State, the Indianapolis Sentinel. No paper in the country contributed more towards the success of the party in the last campaign than the Sentinel by its handling Blaine without gloves. No paper was more bitterly assailed, persecuted and prosecuted, and no paper won a more signal triumph than the Sentinel. It deserves a liberal support from the Democrats, and we hope our friends throughout the country will see to it that a larger circulation will be secured for it than it has ever enjoyed before. The Sentinel is a reliable Democratic paper, and yet its space is not wholly devoted to politics. Each week it gives a large amount of miscellaneous reading matter, which includes articles on all topics of general interest making it a choice paper for family reading. We hope our Democratic friends throughout the county will, after getting their neighbors to subscribe for the Democratic Journal, also solicit their names and cash for the Weekly Sentinel. It Is the recognized organ of the Democracy of Indiana, and holds that position by its unfaltering sup port of the principles of true Democracy Our readers will remember that during the last campaign the Sentinel attacked the Plumed Knight in a manner that brought it into prominence as a true Democratic paper throughout the country, louwill also remember that had the Sentinel flinched the least, the Democracy of the State, and per haps of the whole union, would have been sorely defeated. Without doubt the Sentinel was one of the great factors in saving the State of Indiana to the Democracy, and also in securing the election of a Democratic President. Every Democrat should subscribe for the Sentinel for the work it has done, and our word for it you will find it in the same path next year. Hartford City Telegram. It is needless lor us to recommend the In dianapolis Daily and Vveekly Sentinel to those of our readers who have been readers of that valuable journal; but perhaps there are many who read this paper who are not readers of the Sentinel. To all such we are free to say that no more reliable and inter esting paper is published in the State of Indiana, and we might add in the United States. It is acknowledged to be the Democratic organ of the State, and did more to secure the great victory won by the Democratic party in 1883 than any other paper in the country. It is fearless in its denunciations of wrong from all sources, not only irom a political standpoint but on all ques tions that come before the people. Its general and miscellaneous reading matter is of the highest order and just such as any parent ought to keep for his children. Try it and be convinced that what we say is true. Decatur Democrat. The Democrat calls the attention of its readers to the prospectus of the Weekly Sentinel, which will be found in this week's issue. To Democrats it should be especially valuable, as the recognized organ of the Democracy of Indiana; not only that, but everv Democrat in Indiana owes to the Sentinel for its brave and self-sacrificing services during the late Presidential campaign, when it successfully withstood and defended, presenting a bold front when many leading Democrats trembled, the most vindictive political attack ever attempted in any State. Subscriptions taken at this omce. Crawford County Democrat The Indisnapolis Sentinel has gained reputation for moral bravery wholly un known to a certain class of Republican newspapers. The Sentinel is as much a fixture in the homes of Indiana Democrats as is a cook stove in the same homes. It has gained a foothold with the better class of people which can not be shaken loose. e believe that the Sentinel was the most potent agent in gaining the State of Indiana to the Democracy last fall. Single-handed it met the Plumed Knight and measured steel with him. Amidst a deafening howl from all sides it never "dodged" once, but met its enemy like a Mars, and overthrew him, and trailed the White Hume in the dust. All the pomp and bluster indulged in by the pimps of Blaine never for a moment cowed it into a single compromising detraction.and only when its enemy lay at its feet did it sheathe its sword. Pitted against it was a political administration whose power was only limited by its wishes. But the Sentinel won.
