He had an agreeable day. and especially that part devoted to the Institution over which tiie Chairman so etliciently presided. We recognize and favor, he said, that department of education to which it i devoted. It was of vital importance t disseminate scientific, agricultural and mechanical knowledge among the children of this Commonwealth. The profession were Icir.g over crowded because our children are given a classical education only, to the useful of jucihanical and agricultural knowledge, lie faYored an institution in which American youth, after graduating then from, are fitted to follow these pursuits'. Shoemaker, Colonel IJ.oy.se. of Torre Haute; Harry Craft. Ilsip, Justin Adams, F.si.. W. W. Ctirry and Dr. Waterman. The affair was well arranged and every detail carried out with promptness and intelligence. The Committee of Arrangements at Lafayette were composed of the best citi.ens and well up in entertaining strangers. Fach one seemed to take it on himself to do some little act or give some attention that would make the stay of their guests more pleasant. Their hospitality was very pleasing and left a lasting impression. The Faculty at Purdue were equally attentive, and showed remarkable skill in presenting the good side of everything. A better pleased party prob ably never left Indianapolis than this one. Tiie expense of the affair was borne. wholly by the citi.ens of Lafayette the Institution not contributing a dime thereto. I consider lloofoline far ahead of anything ever introduced. I have cured curbs, contracted hoofs, suppurated com?, hoof-liound feet, swedged tendons, wre throat from catarrhal fever, pumiced feet, scratches, thrush, sprains of all kinds, and sores of long ttanding, which were considered incurable. For collar scalds, chafes and fresh cuts, it instantly removes all soreness, keeps the Kies away, and allows the sores to heal at once.
