A confident Republican, who wanted to bet 1500 on Harrison's election, declined after seeing the Democratic crowd. It would have been much larger but for the weather which kept the country people at home. The evening rally at Michigan City was a great surprise even to Dem jeraU. Gooding addressed a large assemblage at Bunser Hill this aternoon. The speeches were the best delivered in this part of the country this season. Mr. Gooding's was an nnanswerab'e arraignment of the Grant administration, and an earnest appeal for reform. Many weak Republl ans have de ded to come over to the Democracy.
