A NOBLESVILLE MY3TEUY. GEOROE KINSETf's D HATH WAS IT AN ACCIDKXTOR MCKDER THB COBOSEB'S I3QUiaT DEATH FROM CS KNOWN CAUSES. Special Correspondence of the Sentinel ' Noblesville, Ind., Oct. 13. This little city ol ours is greatly perplexed over the death of younjr. George Kinsey, on Thursday afternoon, and entirely unable to make up its mind as to whether the young man came to bis end by accident or design. On the afternoon In question Henry Kinsey and his son George, aged twenty-two years, leit town, the one on foot and the other on horseback, lor their home, abont two miles across the river. Doth "crossed the fctream on the back ol the borne, and ' separated ou the other side, the lather cutting acroMths fields on foot while the son continued his ride along the road. JuBt east of the Kinsey house is the home of a colored family by the name of Richardson. Oa the day before these events, Georg Richardson hid been engaged in a quarrel with young Kinsey at the latter' home concerning some trespassIns horses and bad intimated his entire willingness and ability to whip any two white meu, and Kinsey had also said something about compellirg biin to withdraw that offer. It wauld appear, from the fact that Kinsey'a pocket was found to contain several stones, that he had prepared himself at the river bank for a conflict. At any rate Henry Deck and his two sons testified today betöre the coroner that they drove along the road and saw Kinsey sitting on his horse before the Rictiaruson house, apparently quarreling with George Richardson, the Jatter's father-in-law, Aleck Richardson, and three other colored people, William Ruseell and his three sons, who bad stopped their team in front of the house to discuss, as tbev say, a horse trade. Deck advised the group to have done with their quarrel and passed on, but looked back

A FEW MINUTES AFTERWARD and saw them maintaining their positions and apparently continuing their dispute. A ehort time afterward Henry Kinsey'a path across the fields brought him out upon the highway at the same pot, where, to his horror, he lound hia son lyine upon the ground dead, with his neck dislocated. There were no bruises upon his person, and his clothing bore no marks of violence. What the Richardsons and Russells told the grief-stricken father he was too much agitated to note. At the inquest today they unanimously denied having any words with toe young fellow, but said he drove up like an intoxicated man or one stricken with a fit, permitting his horse to go wbere tbe beast chose, and suddenly ie!l off and died in a few minutes, gtoaning and frothing at the mouth. Old man Kua-ioll did admit once that something was feaid by or to Kinsey, but retracted tbe admission a minute afterward. It sbould be said, by the way, that tbe intoxication tbeory is utterly disproved by tbe boy's father and several others who had seen fciin that afternoon. Indeed, no one in town has ever seen the deceased young man under tbe influence of liquor. Neither is there any evidence vt tbe boy's being subJect to htait disease or fits of any kind, tut quite tbe contrary. Tbe coronet's jury made as thorough au examination as possible, but ' only reached an unsatisfactory verdict to; the effect that George Kinsey came to his ; death from causes unknown. And ! here the case must rest unless some new evidence Is discovered. The absence of all traces of violence prevented tbe jury from bringing in any other verdiot The matter !s moct mysterious, but the most rational theory, it seems to me. Is that tbere was a quarrel and tbat tbe young man brought on a fit by bis rage and fell witb the fatal result, and that tbe witnesses, tearful of being suspected of foul play, agreed to deny tbe quarrel in toto. F. J. S. A DESPERATE DEED. A SKNTIMKNTAL MJICIDE PRECIPITATES HIM SELF FROM THE TOP OF THE WASHINGTON MONUMENT MASHED GENERALLY. A Baltimore special to tie Chicago Times otyejterday says: Mount Veruon plaoa, and In fact tbe whole citv, es soon as it was noised around, was startled this atternooc by tbe announcement tbat a man bad been dasbed from the parapet of tbe Washington monument to the ground below, a distance of nearly lot) feet. A more desperat deed could baroly be Imagined, toe mere thought of which is calculated to curdle tbe blood in one's veins. About half past 3 o'clock in the afternoon a heavy thud, as of something lading over bis head, was heard by tbo young man who had charge of the door of tbe mouumeut, and. goin out to ascertain tbe cause, be discovered on top of the marble base a shapeless mass of human neb and bones, due front ol the base of the monument and tbe pavement were bespattered witb blood and brains. A crowd soon gath ered, but so shocking was the spectacle that it was some time belore any step was taken to report the horrible affair to tbe proper au thornier. Coroner Walker held an inqnc&t, the jury returning a formal verdict. Tb only article found on the body was the fol lowing n-.t-, written in lead pencil, on a scrap of paper A FINAL FAREWELL. Now, Miss Coob, I leave thee in these words, hoping to hear from you. Fare thee well, still forever, still forever, fare thee well. Evei though unforgiven, never against tbee shall my heart rebeL Tbere was nothing to indicate who the .unfortunate man wan. lie looked to b about thirty years of age, and was genteelly but pUiuiy dressed, lao Keeper or tbe monument recognia 1 tbe deceased as tbw same mau who, during the morning, bad visited the place,: and the supposition i tbat bH courage tailed him theo, and b.9 returned agiin to carry out bis aewign, it it was h case of suicide. fcA lady and a gentleman were going up to tbe top of the monuaient jut as tbe desperate detent wai bein? made from t he outside. The lady, not knowing of the occurrence, .looked over the parapet aod saw the body lying beiow, aud was au startled at tbe ghastly aig In that she tainted and fell into the arms of tbe jjentieumn accompanying her. Mr. Jbust, a bricklayer, happened to be pass l du along tbe street aud was a witness of the fearful laij, a sight, he sajp, he will not likely lorget as Ion as he Jives Every boue in tbe unlet tunate man's body was broken, and tbe oacc part of bis skull, from the terrible oianMr in which it w crushed, U supposed to btive been the first part tbat struck tbe stone work. Tue monument was erected Xiicv years airo, tbe sbatt bing tbe biehest in tbe United Stiles. Tmais tLe firt evident that ever occurred tbere. Tbe queen oi Holland gave a reception recently t the asocUlon f the reform and codification cf the laws of nations, which is asaembl-d at the Hue.
