Senate Mr Shields, from the committee ol confer ence on the bounty land bill, made a report. The Cnair decided that the bill was yet with the House, and therefore could not be acted upon. The Iowa railroad bill was taken up and passed ayes 30, nays 10. The special orderwas post ponetl , and the Missouri land bill takea up and amended so as to conform to the Iowa bill, ordered to be printed, and engrossed. It provides for two roads from Hannibal to St. Joseph, one of two hundred miles and the other of two hundred and twenty miles. Alternate sections of six miles on each side of said roada are granted to the State. The bill of Mr. Borland, of Arkansas, was agreed to as amended, and ordered to be engrossed. Mr. Rask moved to take up the Alabama land bill, which was agreed to. The bill was amended and ordered to be engrossed. The bill, authorizing the sale of certain lands for improving Fox and Wisconsin rivers, was taken up and or-1 dered to he engrossed. The bill appropriating tiny thousand dollars tor a ma riae hospital at Portland, Maine, was ordered to be engresaJ. House. Mr. Jones from the conference committee, reported land warrants assignable, and made some ex planatory remarks.
