Mexican Tkeatukxt of Prisoners. White the Kentucky prisoner oi Mexico are complaining of their treatment by the Mexican nlhVer, t!ion who Ml into the hand of the people are treated with extreme kindness. Lieut. Whipple, recently captured near Vera Cruz, speaks particularly of the attention and kindness which have been hown him. He say: "Alf the tnh.-ihit.int of tins vilhige (Q iatepec) have extended towards me more than the elegant civilities of refined fife they have given tne assistance with a delicacy and propriety which nu American community can excel."

The Citv or -Mexico Comuierci.il business is in a most proslrite condition in the city of Mexico. Scarcely a package of goods has been received there f r the last three months Irom Vera Cruz or elsewhere on the Gult. The foreign merchants liier are impatiently awaiting the arnval of (In. Scott. They lliink lliat if Mie event would not lead to a peace, an open roiurnuniciitioii between that and Vera Cruz would follow. Indirectly they influence to some extent public feeling there, and this may have its share in producing tile desire for peacH prevailing to a greater extent at the capital than elsewhere. The war feeling is rile in all other parts of the country.

DirrircLTT bktwee Ges. Jcott asd Gej. Worth Mr. Kendall, in a letter dated June 21, state that Gen. Scoit has expressed himself dissatisfied with not only the terms of the capitulation entered into with the 1'oblanos ly Gen. Worth, but also with some of the acts of the tatter while in command of the city. Gen. Worth promptly called for an investigation, the Court of inquiry being then in session. Hi subsequent letters, though several weeks later, do not state the result of the investigation, the intervening letters probably having been lout when the express rider was shot. As the latest letters speak of Worth in command, it is probable that the court found nothing to censure.
