OIL OF Er.ICSEATS AND COMPOUND UNADULTERATED Concentrated Svrup of Paving Stones manufictured only by the editor of the Tort Gibson Herald, and sold by hia regularly authorized Agents. OrOCrOT Beware of Counierftits ! ! .'1 -CO-CO CERTIFICATES. Calcutta, June 0, 1310. Mr. Rode T died la3t night, but while the undertaker wa3 placing ms in the codin, a vial of your Essential Oil burst in his pouknt, and streaming down on my face, I opened my ey C3, sneezed, ind aro-;e. The shroud having received a portion of the Oil, instantjy took root iu the floor, and expanded into beautiful cotton stalk, each filled with bursting pods. The cotton roc on end, sprouted forth shoots, and grew into a magnificent mahginy tree, which burst oiF the roof of ny hous?, and waved in the evening breeze i'9 luxuriant branches, amid which monkies chattered and gren parrots fluttered their fan-like wing's. I remain your revived friend, AUGUSTUS ROWZER. Koaking Ratits, Ky., July, 19 W. Mr. KtJcA It gives mc great pleasure to inform you of a most wonderful event caused by your Essential Oil. I am engineering on the Salt River Rail Road, and was proceeding with a train f f cars from Shunksborough to his place, when the engine suddenly stopped. Ou examination, I found that the wheels wanted greasing; this seemed unlucky, as I was un provided with tlie article, but remembering that I had a vial of Essential Oil in my coat pocket, I drw it out and anointed the hubs instantly the cars were off at the rat3 of 150 miles per hour ; being left alone in the road, I swallowed the rest of the Oil, started on foot, and arrived at the station just 21 second later than the train. While the cars were passing at this unpralleled rate, a negro belonging to Mr. Roorback attempted to cross the track, two miles, but ere he effected bis object, tlie train was upon him. The front wheels of the engiiie ground him to atoms, but aa the hinder one passed, a drop of the oil oozed from the hubs and feil upon him. He instantly rose -restored, sound in wind and limb except a slight contusion on his right shin as before. So instantaneous was the whole affair, that the pain, though excruciating, lasted but the 2(K)th part of a second ! This information may be relied on, as the negro himself is willing and anxious to swear to the truth of every word. Your sincere friend. 1C30.-QXW11. l- l ." e 1 . P. STRETCHER. ju- r.lANrFACTCRE of Steel. The RicKnoni Compper states that the Virginia Legislature has granted certain privileges to Mr. Eroadmeadjw, for the manufacture of steel. The Compiler says it is made on a new plan, for which Mr. Rroadmeadow received a pitent iu June l ist, f jt the whole of the United States,' for fourteen years. The saving in this process is fo well euited for the purpose, that there seems no doubt that the iron ore3 of this Stato, when converted into steel, will be transported to Europe and sold at a profit in the Engl'sh market, that now supplies the tr.We: world, and the United Slates mide independent from her own resources. The quality of steel marie on . this plan has given such satisfaction in New York, that one house haa given a written ordar for two tons per day. A correspondent of the N. Y. The British vessel sailed from IMontevidco two days before the Bainbridge. and both entered tlie harbor of Rio de Janeiro at the same time.
