Fora few days prior to his decease, he had felt eo well that ho ventured out for exercise ; but a sudden hemorrhage of the lungs, put a period to his days, perhans sooner than any one had anticipated. The deceased had many friends, and deservedly 0, for he possessed a generous and high-minded disposition nnd a character generally without reproach. His faults probably owed their origin as much to the querulousnees superinduced by disease, as to any defect of mental constitution ; and should and will be the more easily excused and palliated. While we linger with melancholy pleasure over his virtues, let ua forget thoe faults incident to ut all, and look forward lo that gloriou re-union which all hope for in tho spirit world, where we shall be freed from the triali and gorrowi which afflict ui upon earth.
