Information on a Topic Interesting to Householders and Housekeepers. "A few years ago," eiul Albert Gall to tli; reporter, "a great many peojjle nearly everyone, in fact thought that all there wa3 in piper barging and inter'or decoration wa9 to get the paper r.nd p?ste it on the all. This is no longer the case. Ii is now recognized that mnril decoration is an art. Diilerent rooms require different treatment. Surrjundings are to be considered ths nuaber ot openin into a room, it wo 3d 70rk, tbe height of the ceiling, the waj the liht is admitted into it. Everything mut be in harmony. What would be approprü for one parlor or bedrooai might bs in the vorst of taste far another parlor or bedroom. 'The skilled d ecorator relects the paper, the j;aprr hancer is only depended npon to d) the required work iu a work -ran I ike m inner. The decorator is to the paper hanger vhit the architect is to the builder .ill the latter is rtquiicd to do is Vo iollow the plan laid cut fur him. A room properly papered, with everything in color and de.-i:i m harmony, is a picture, the work of an artist' Mr. Gall continued: 4It used to be tha in the trada ech diilerent style of paper had a specific name. Now the deMns are so nunioro.o that specific names are out of the question- For instince, tlii.3 springy with an entirely new stock, as l?st fall I disposed ot all my old pipers, I have in this room over SOO different designs and in the other roDai 2,520 cifierent kinds." Here Mr. Gall unrolled innumerable beautiful designs in ceiling decoration?, handsome borders and exquisite iriezcs, and a number of art pieces in Lincrusta Walton. "Do you kn3w in fine work lliat v?e make a design for eac'i room?' said Mr. Gall. "Well, we do. Ve make it sj that the customer can seeexactly how the work is to be done, and it i a exio: as an architects plans. My workmen take these diagrams and work by thorn. Tac designs this year are chiefly floral, but figure pieces, jikti those oipids, are very popular. Best of all, I am able to vtll tht se brauti'nl thing CHEAP, having bought them when the umk-t wi mj4 fivorahle."
