In reply to a question concerning Tuesday's election here, Carter Hanison eald: "My plurality will be from 579 to 8 CO, as far as my information gees." Will jour election be contested?" "I don't know anything about that. I would be glaJ of a contest. My iecsons for desiring a contest are these: I can not understand the returns from several of the wards. Abcut 20,CCO of my rattere were distributed through the ward3 and as I have been assured by re liable parties that they were used effectually, I can not see how it is that I did not get a larger vote in the Republican wards. I would rail attention to the fact that in the Isst fall election the Twelfth Ward gave a Republican majority of 2.800; but now, according to the returns, it gives a majority of 3, ICO. These singular facts make ma desire an opening of the ballots so that I can see their rai condition." Mr. Harrison continued: "I have Dot charged fraud against any party.
