Parker the commission of Hagb Molloy, Mr. Tarker's grandfather, as ensign in the army of the revolution. It was made out in Boston, November 0, 177G, and signed by John Hancock, Fxesident, and Charles Thompson, Secretary ot Congress. Mr. Molloy was at Valley Forge, and he resigned In 1781. In 181G be moved to Williamsburg, 0., whera he died in 1847, aged ninety. His grandson, H. C. Herrick, is Executive Clerk lor Governor Gray. A MIRACULOUS ESCAPE.

Charles Warner and Cyrus McClelland Struck by a Big Four Train and Barely Escape Death The Latter Internally Injured. Charles Warner, a traveling man, and Cyrus McClelland, a tinner, narrowly escaped death at the Fifth street crossing of the I., St. L. and C. Road, shortly before 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. They were riding in a light spring wagon, behind a spirited horse, and when they reached ths crcssirg the Big Four mail dae hera at .":30 p. m. was approaching rapidly from the nortn, Warner whipped up the horse expectingto ret cress before the train arrived, and they would have succaedad had it rot been that the animal became frightened and stopped directly on the track end began prancing about, refusing either to back or go forward. The engineer realized the danger that the two men were in, but was too close to stop histtain, and the engine struck the frail waon with tremendous force, smashing it into splinteri and instantly killing the horse. The two oc cupant9 were thrown to one s'd-j of the track, acd when persons near by burrid to the scene tney found tbat McClelland had received a bad cut ia the back of the head, from which blood was flowing freely, while Warner was bnt sliehtiy bruised about the body and fece. Both men were picked up and re moved to tbeir hemes in Flanner it Horn tcown'i ambulance, where they received rredical attention. Both resid9 on Vts. Market street, Warner at 321 and McClelland at 315. McClelland, who has juit recovered rem a terious illness, complained lut nigbt cf being hurt internally, and appeared to be Guirejicg great pain.
