TLo deceased was sixty years of age. A female patient at the Insane Asylum secured a pais key early yesterday evenin?, and going into an attendant's rcom where the pas was burning, tried to set lire to the building. A respectable blazs wa3 under way when the night watch discovered the lire, and the flames were arrested without serious damage. Colonel James Wild man entertairs the opinion that the Indianapolis post Dflice is getting along admirably, and ne does not ft el any solicitude for the early appointment of a successor. He also denies that he has any aspirations to stand for the mayoralty nomination, having never so much us considered such a step. John Kunyan, a patient at the Insane Asylum, from Fayette County, made an attempt to escape from that institution on Saturday nfght by letting himself down from a window with a rope made of bed quilts. The rope broke while he was eighteen feet from the ground, and he was severely bruited by the fall. Julius A. He ha3 been sent to Danville to 'serve" oat the time, having been incarcerated in the jail at that place during the time intervening between his arrest and trial. It is said that his Imprisonment was only nominal, he having the freedom of the town, occupying a room in the jailer's residence and taking buggy rides whenever he chese.
