STRAYED OR STOLEN, On the 6th March, a dirk bav mare, star in her forehead, pigeon toed before, branded with the letter V on the left buttoc, 8 or 9 years old, between 14 and 15 hands high, v.'ith a stirrup leather for a bell collar, wanted 5 or 6 inches of going twice around the neck, with a tow string tied to the buckle, has two or three white spots on her breast. Any person delivering the said beast to the subscriber living on the headwaters of Fourteen mile Creek. 1 2 miles from Madison, and 6 from Lexington, shall receive 4 dollars, or 2 dollars to give information to the editors of the Republican. Ranaway from the subscriber on the i4rh ult. living in Shelby county Kentucky, on the head waters of Fox run two negro men; one of which is a yellow fellow by the name of William, who is sometimes called Fink, after his supposed father. He is about twenty-ore years old, supposed to be about. 5 feet & or 10 inches high, sliti made, and is a fellow of good sense for his opportunity. . He tcokwith him two coats, one a black velvet round about lined with yellow flannel, the other, a black cloth coat about half worn, three pair of pantaloons, one gray cassimere, one pair blue doth, theothcr pair blue striped Jeans. -He has other clothes but not recollected. The above fellow 4s well acquainted in Frankfort, Kentucky, and wa3 hired to Mr. Oden of that place for a waiter, during the session

of 1S1S, and was there the last session of the assembly. The other fellow by the name of Jerry. He is about 28 years of age, of dark complexion rather a dull look, and when in convcrsation ha3 a down look. On one of hts ancles he has had a hurt which occasions his foot to turn in. It is believed to be his right foot. He took with him a fulled cloth coat, a dark vest and a deep blue pair of pantaloons, either cassimere or cloth. The above described negroes will I expect make for Canada. The above reward will be given if taken out of the state or secured in some jail, so that I get them, or fifty dollars each if taken or secured in the state. JAMES YOUNG. N. B.
