late session of the Ceneaat As sembly. The substance of these alterations is a repeal of the two and a half per cent, transient tax, and of the duty list year laid upon Tea ; the placing Rum and Sugar, which pay long duty, upon the same footing as to drawback with those articles when imported ill vessels belonging to the province, and purchased with its productions; and the allowing a drawback on M-lasses, to which it was in no case before entitled. Certificates from judges and British consuls in the U. States, to obtain drawbacks, are rendeied unnecessary by the Kevenue Lawof the present year.
