Lexington, April 17, 1820. 174 3W LOST ON the 27th March last, between Madison and the old state road about twelve miles north of Madison, on the road leading from thence to tlraham, a RED MOROCCO POCKET BOOK, with two blacky leaves in the center. It contains several Bank notes and notes of hand, amongst which rc the following: Three three dollar bills on the Farmers and Mechnics Bank of Madison payable at LauTcrxcburgh, one five dollar bill the bank not recollectcd, a twodoihr bill on J. H. Piatt U Co. and a note of hand on Jas. Irvin for twenty dollars, payable on Christmas day next, and witnesscd by Thomas Boyd Irvin and Ephraim Penn. Any person finding the above descxibeci Pocket Book & dehverbg it to thcsibscriber Hung twelve miles uohh of Madison, with what it contained when lost, shall reccivc five dollars with all reasonable charges paid for trouble.

CFFICE OF THE EMIGRANT SOCIETY. At a late meeting of the Directors of the Madison Emigrant Society, they agreed with Mr. Nathan B. Palmer to open, on behalf of the society, an ollice of Intelligence in this town. Having made this selection cf the agent, and being well satisfied of his ability and zral to effect the objects of the society, the directors hereby recommend Mr. Palmer and his office to the attention of emigrants and others.
