For the express benefit of the good people to the westward, we would just apprise them that, very lately from the neighborhood of Madison, lahas started two fellows, two married and one single; the first we would describe calls himself Abr'm.Herrington, amulatto ill looking villian, toolazy to work except a little at basket making; he gets drunk and its said will steal chickens, Sec; he has one or two children. The second rascal calls himself Silas Lath rop, a stout, chunky, prominent faced, frcc-teughijig de
ceiver; he can make a sort o a basket too; he can swindle an honest neighbor out of a rifle, a flitch of bacon, or a fewbushels of corn, equal to any by promising work the precise day he intends to paddle some other honest man's skiff down the Ohio; his looks are more honest than .the above, but be ye not deceived. These two jockies are brother in laws, and the latter was married about last June; his wife is very young, very little and of a. sandy complexion. There arc a number of our friends to the west who will know the subscribers, and we feel persuaded will believe the above sketch. JESSE GR Y, WM. W. THOM JOHN RirCHIE. Madison, Oct. 5, 1819.
