On ths twenty-fifth of March, in (be year of onr Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty, I, Thomas Jefferson Adams, mariner of Philadelphia, signed articles with John Owen, captain and owner of the ship Ann, bound from that port to Liverpool, with a full cargo of cheese and door. At the request of certain persons, who have at times beard part of the story, 1 am going now to set down what befet me on that voyage.
