The new law has now been ia operatien about a year, and with an ef ficient man for Trustee, it woihu admirably. In this township, to far as we know, the business has been done promptly, and to the satislm: tion of the ■ public, and the expense to the township has been less thom last year; ami last year there were no ree schools in operation. We had lotmed the opinion, that the expense would he greater under the new law, if the business was trf// done; but even hero we have be,*n agreeably disappointed-, it was the general complaint under the old law, that the township business was but poorly done, ns it was a difficult matter to got all the board together when business, was to he'd am 1 , but now, tbe Ttlisteo is always toady to ‘do business, no mailer where he is. without consulting anyone, or calling meetings, and delaying the business. Aud it has. been found that one man can do the whole business in less time, and in a better manner, at less expense, than five men coulyi doit. • • f - : However, iMs neersaty that invj esch township a competent maW | (diould be selected to fill the station, nud the people at election should be careful to select such an one; as it is a matter of v(tsi importance to, the public that the township ) business be properly-attended to.—■ Look to this matter at the coming April election.* ,
