In another column - we record tho death of a young, lady who died ol a Woken heart Wo do not like to trespass upon the sacrcdness of domestic grief to onfold the details of Jher sad story, but when the privacy -'of affliction becomes public feeling, £t is tt6t -hnprapsr for the press to frjUco the event on records It is not W Yepeat nalacs or relate knintfth It is enough Vhat We dra'W the ontliucs of a picture for the reader to paint with appropriate colors, ■ , . Many months ago, tn the neighboring town of Belchnrtowri, ayo'nng man sought and received the prom: iso of tho hand of a young lady, whose home was the Iop : of luxury, whose mental and personal attractions mado all pleasant' around .her. Like too many confiding onm> of her sex, she trusted man’s unhallowed promise arid trusted all to him.— From that honr he estranged himself from herv and scon removed to a distant State. When it became e\ i lent that ho bad exposed himself-to ihe penally el tho law, at the request of her friends he visited her to - fulfil the vowa he had long before made. They were married in one of those hasty, unceremonious ways which occupy hut little time or attention.. Late in the evening they relumed to her father’s boose Rhere he left her in the .street, promising to return in a short time. But that prunmo was never fidGtied; She wrote to him and received encouragement that lie would soon ’provide a home for her, but delay followed delay, till her letters and entreaties were unheeded ami unanswered. At length a pledge of woman’s love to her husband came into tho; world to opennew form taina of affection to the young wife, is till the husband and toibbr came not,.

Liynn Glcb,—ITiis is one of the most convenient appendages, of do* meuticlifc wliich modem ingenuity baa devised. Every careful housekeeper will prize it as a convenient assistant in cobbling np s broken chair, or in replacing a bit of loose veneering on llio'tnrailuro. Indeed; for nil purposes where it does not come to contact with water, this gluo may be used with safety. But few of the many who wonld like to have it know how te make it. To prepare ii, take glue of good quality, and dissolve it in ns small a quanti-.-iy of hot water .as possible; then, while yet hit, remove from .the fireand dilute it to the piopcr thinness by adding alcohol, aficr which it slu.tild be bottled and the mouth of the botile kept covered with a piece of India rubber, or anything else that will cxflude tho-air. Alcohol will preserve tho glne made in this way for many years, keeping it from pntrcf.iciiou in the summer, and from freezing »n the winter. In cold weather it wants only a little warming ta. nlake it ready for oso. This convenient article has been in oso in England for many years, but has never beta extensively known in this country. ;

f Thc niothcr rccovorctl frmii confinement, but after repeated letters to her htudmuil fomul no answer, the idea that she wait deserted by him forced itself upon her, and she pave way to despondency anil despair.— The child/partaking of its mother's grief soon died. There was nothing more that shiw could live for; and though suffering’from no dLeore,she sank upon a dying bed. Then the swift wing of lightning bore to the distant husband the intelligent that she was dying, lie still Iicsiiuted, but at length set out to meet his expiring wife. Conscious that her hoars were fow, she only .wished, to live.long enough to see her husband —he was still all to her.. Her Iasi words to her fnends' .were—“Tell him that 1 still love him—that 1 died for him.” When evening shadowed the earth, the husband came. A« he approached the bedside of hit injured wife, be was recognized, and the word* “HeVcotne 1" bnrst from her lips. “ Already had tho wing of the angel of death cast , its shadow over that dwelling, and she was entering the dimness of the dark valley. Next morning in that room lay the corpse of a bcautital young wife, on which the husband bad looked for the last time and departed. Last Sabbath afternoon, the-funer-al of the young wife took place noder her fathersV roof. Her neighbors sad friends to the number of live hundred were present, but the bus band who'bad left her to die for him was not there. A deeply affecting address was made by her former pastor, and jast ns the sun was sinking behind the western bills, four young Jodies of her acquaintance, clad in garments of white, bore her to a grave in the garden, where the green turf was laid gently over her. tiucb is the story of one who died of a broken heart. The grave is a quiet place.for the injured wife, but where in all the world can there be peace for him who wonld thus bring sorrow and death upon her 7 Tbo story has its moral, bat we will leave the reader Jo apply it; it is full ol warning, and we leave the young to heed it.
