His driver was coming to Vevay with the milk wagon, and in attempting to get'on the Plum Creek bridge, he got off the grade into, deep water, and the mate being unable to get loose froth the wagon was drowned. The driver got out, and subsequently the wagon was rescued.

The parlies have been abusing each other for aoiae time in a most outrageous and dlsgracful manner. In fact, tiiey havo shown themselves to be genuine ruffians, and it is amazing that n respectable constituency could have been induced to return such men to the honorable position of State Senators. They are hardly fit to associate with second class rowdies, much less with respectable men, such as legislators are expected to bo. It is to be hoped that the Senate will promptly expel both members, for in point of character as in point.of guilt, there appears to bo no difference.
