Detail* of Mexican News. Wabhisotoit, Nov. 20. The New Orleans papers of Monday, received here to-night contain farther particulars of .the Mexican per steamer General Husk. arThe Brownsville (Texas) Flag says that Genera) Blanco, of the Liberal army, with 1,500 men, attacked aqd entered the city of Mexico, advancing within one block of the capital. On the 15th of October, Zuolongq made an imposing resistance and lost 400 of bis soldiers,, besidea/a large number wounded. The loss on the part of the part of the Liberals was comparatively small. Blanco held bis position for a few hours, and afterward retired to Tacnbaya, where he remained encamped. Tbe city would have been completely captured by-tbe Liberals, but the partisans within, upon whose movements depended the whole success, not being previously advised of the intended attack, were not prepared to render any efficient aid. The whole Republic, with Jibe exception of the capital, is now inpossesslcn of the Liberal*. Gen. Escheaganiy was severely wounded in a daring attempt to capture (he Uas*. lie at Peroto with a handful of men. account: says.that Zuoloaga had only khoilt i,000 men, white the other party liad 3.000, and with a little exertion, the latter might have taken the city. Important Decision'. —In the cnee of Lockwood rr. The State Bank of Indiana, Judge Bicknell gave a decision yesterday. He "decided that the new silver coin, issued, since IS,53; was not a legal tender, and furthermore, that .a qnantlty of bank notes presented together - lor redemption must be considered as one demand, and if over $5, must be paid in gold. A similar decision has heretofore been made by another Circoit Judge of Indiana.—.Trie Albany Tribune.

Destrcctivb Fire at Versailles.—On tho night of the 16th instant, a destructive fiira occurred ,at .Versailles, .Ripley couinty,’ entirely consuming; three large frame buildings and destroying property to the amount of $3,000. The property belonged to Uhe widow Connolly, O.P. McCullough and William >V. Rax. The loss fell mod heavily on Mrs.'Connelly, her property- being tty moat valuable. The fire originated from » defective fluo in the boose of McCullough: There were several persons burnt by falling timbers, but none seriously.
