P,, a member of the Final Committee, in the prosecution of his work as a reviser, had become deeply impressed with the importance offending six months-hi Greece, Jn order to mature his acquaint* auco with the Greek language, in which the New Toitivment waa originally written, as a living tongue. JtirU'lid Printing Office has indeed proved a belter college to many a boy, I has graduated mere useful and conspicuous members of society! has brought more intellect out and tamed it into practical useful channels, awakened more minds, generated more active and elevated thought than many of the literary col* leges of i)(b country. The presentQ (tremor of Pennsylvania,.Wm. F. Packer, graduated lit what has justly been styled the “Poor JJoy’i College,*' a printing office, as did also our distinguished United Stales Senator. Simon Cameron, and the eminent Pennsylvania Jurist, Kills Lewis, besides a host of other Lnlliant. minds whose talents have udomed positions in the Caljiuet, on the Bench- and at the Bar. A boy. who commences in such a school as the printing office will have his 1 talent anil idco/1 ’brought out; and, if.hu is n careful observer, experience in will contribute more toward an education than can be obtained in almost any other manner.
