The Agricultural Fair,

The Sivth Annual Fair of the Switzerland and Ohio County Agricultural Society was held near -Enterprise, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, of last week. Tho ground is beautifully situated, and enclosed with n good and snbstnnlial fence. There was plenty of drinking water on the ground, and an abundance of water near by for stock, or other purposes. The President of the Society has labored unceasingly in the good work, and, together with the other noble spirits who seconded his efforts, deserves great credit for the success of. the Fait this season. The Society labored under many disadvantages—they wcio were trying'a now experiment; in fitting up a permanent Fair ground in the center of the district, and met with the cold shoulder in quarters . where previously they hnd received the warmest encourage* incut, Tho towns of Rising Sun and Vevay had heretofore home the principal part of the expense of fitting up the grounds for tho exhibition, —this year they contributed little or nothing for this purpose. Others who bad heretofore taken an active part in the affairs of the Society, this year stood aloof, because thev desired a division of the counties
