Manpower Supply Here Adequate For Selective Service
War Threat Could Make Some Change
Indiana is pouring about 1000 young men a month into the jaws of the “limited war” machine, More than 31,000 have been ealled into service since the Korean police action started. But the state isn’t going to run out of young men despite the drain, Selective Service officials sald here. It would take an allout war to really strike the bottom of the civilian manpower barrel. Military officials sald Indiana can meet its draft quotas indefinitely if the induction rate is held about as it is and present deferment plans remain in effect. That doesn’t mean the state is
