"MONKEY BUSINESS’,
Theaters Offer Fans
Varied Bill

VARIETY IS THE KEYNOTE of the film fare being offered to movie goers this coming wefk at the local first-
run theaters.
The bills range from Sir Walter Scott's immortal
“Ivanhoe” {immortal “Monkey Business,” and from racial prejudices in reverse to a tale of uncontrolled emotions. “Ivanhoe,” starring . Robert Taylor, Elizabeth Taylor, Joan Fontaine and George Sanders is now playing at Loew's Theater. Jennifer Jones stars as a lovetorn young woman in ‘The Wild Heart,” Keith's. The Times preview of the week
is “The Crimson Pirate,” featur-|
ing Burt Lancaster, at the Circle, Thursday..—— Richard Rees, Henry Morgan, Christine Larson and Barry Kelly appear together in “The Well” beginning Wednesday at the Lyrie. Ginger Rogers, Cary Grant and Marilyn Monroe portray the stellar roles in “Monkey Business,” scheduled for Wednesday at the Indiana.
Packs a Wallop
High drama, strong emotions and gripping suspense figure strongly in “The Well,” exciting,
off-beat story which races to a|
tense and thrilling climax. Co-autnored by the writing team of Clarence Green and Russell Rouse, the film relates in an
unforgettable fashion, the story of a stranger, an innocent man, who arrives in an average Amer-
{can town early one morning, and |
who, before the day finishes, is the key in one of the most amazing and exciting dramas ever filmed.
Spells and Charms
Starring Jennifer Jones, “The!
Wild Heart” ranges from the lyrfcal sequences of the heroine's late girlhood to the sharp, elemental realism of her maturity. Lavish in its production values, the drama centers around Hazel Woodus, whose only guide to her complicated emotions is an old
book of folk-lore and legendary
spells.

Filmed largely in Hollywood— the wild "and stormy Shropshire country is depicted vividly in { technicolor by on-the-spot shots made in Wales.
Four-Star ‘Frolic “Monkey Business” is strictly for fun with its unique situations and clever dialogue carrying the audience along on a crest of laughs. The point of take-off in this merry picture is a reversion-to-youth formula more or less accidentally invented by a sober, retiring and somewhat absentminded research chemist. He's very proper, if a shade stuffy, in his married life. But comes the potion and the temptation to sample it himself, after experimenting with the chimps who give the picture {makes him a new man. He goes on a romp with the boss’ secretary, gets a flat-top crew cut and flashy clothes, takes to roller-skating, hot rod racing and jitterbugging.

' You Can't Win
Richard Boone thinks he's playing the most ironic rolé of the year in “Pony Soldier.” The fast-
rising actor is a direct descendant of Daniel Boone, one of the {slickest Indian-fighters in history. But in this technicolor film, Boone portrays an Indian who gets bumped off while fighting “white man” Tyrone Power,
