Vases held white chrysanthemums and delphinium, with tall smilax trees in the background. Southern smilax decorated the balcony.

The bridal gown was of ivory Duchess satin and Fleur de Bouquet Chantilly lace. The sculptured bodice had a sheer yoke with lace applique and seed pearl embroidery. Lace applique trimmed the bouffant hooped skirt that extended into a cathedral train. The bride wore a tiered veil of English silk illusion attached to a satin and lace cloche.
