A 16-year-old Manual High School cheerleader is the first entrant in The Times “Miss Flame” search. Judie Pedersen, 811 Lincoln St, a bright redhead, was placed in the running by her school club, the K-T-Debs. Another big thrill that came 'to her yesterday was election as vice president of Manual's Glee Club, Judie is a junior. Students at Manual immediately started a campaign to enlist all ithe votes possible to assufe Judie of being queen of the annual Fire Prevention Demonstration Oct. 5 iat the State Fairgrounds.
