~ Firm to Have 7 Homes Open During ‘Parade’ |
The W. L. Bridges & Son firm will have a total of sev en homes open in two subdivisions during the Parade of Homes. Four will
be completed and ready for new.
owners. Three others are in the framing stage of construction. Located in the 5800 block of N. Rural 8t., the four completed houses are all thifee bedroom models attractively decorated inside and out. They feature full tiled baths with shower accessories, drop stairs to attic storage space, sliding door closets, a combination living-dining room, well cabineted kitchens with vent fans, a full basement with space for a social room, and automatic oil heat.
Sodded and Landscaped
Porches are large sized and some homes include attached garages. All lots are sodded and landscaped. Prices range from $19,800 to $19.900. Construction is of western fir. Basements are waterproofed with plagter.and other special materials. The homes are unusually well finished with ‘little extras— the basement stairs and railings are attractively stained, , for. example. The firm urges all home shoppers to stop at the houses now under. construction at 3049-53-57 E. Kessler Blvd. and inspect the materials being used and the workmanship.
Three-Bedroom Homes
These homes are larger and more expensive models. They also offer three bedrooms each and one features 10 closets, a living room with windows on three walls and other attractive items. W. L. Bridges & Son also are developing the third section of their Sylvan Estate addition at 62d and Tuxedo: Sts., just west of John Strange School. Strictly a luxury home development, the builders plan to erect all of the homes in the addition to assure planned development of the neighborhood.
Strip Type Oak Flooring
Comes. in Several Sizes
Builders report that most per-| song in specifying the materials to be used in their homes insist on floors of oak or other hard-| wood. Oak, especially, is pre-| ferred because of its natural | beauty, extreme durability and! ease of upkeep. Most popular of the various! styles of hardwood flooring is the strip type. It is produced in several widths, of which the 21-| Inch is used most extensively. |
