By United Press WASHINGTON, Aug. 25—The Veterans Administration established a new priority system today for admitting eligible veterans to VA hospitals, The system sets up nine classifications. The agency said that, except in emergency cases, it will admit veterans only according to their priority grouping. Where there is a waiting list, no one in a lower group will be admitted to a hospital as long . § a¢ someone in a higher priority group seeks hospitalization. VA said the new system does not change basic policies but will] establish an equitable rule for all persons eligible for admission to a particular VA hospital.” | The nine categories: Group 1—War veterans and, those who servéd during the Korean conflict who require hos-| pitalization’ for service-connected disabilities.
