” CONNIE RUSSELL, the brunet beauty with the hourglass figure (with most of the sand on top) finally has

gained recognition as a star.

'She’s' making a guest appearance on a TV variety show,

and she recently started recording for a big-name wax works, Althcugh no one ever has doubted that 99-pound Connie had talent, she still has had a long, hard climb to reach her present place in show business.

Connie started out as a child ginger on radio, took a tour of New York theaters as a singer when she was 15, and was signed to a Hollywood film contract.

Out in the celluloid hills, Connie spent months posing for cheesecake before she finally was doled a minor role in a Red Skelton movie. After that, more months of cheesecake. Fed wp with flickers, Connie asked and got a release from her movie contract. Ken
