“Cot ,LEGE is a Circus,
says Block's. There is some
doubt whether you will find tumbling clowns and balloons on campus, but you will see them as gay background for the college fashion show in the store's audi-
torium today. There was a per formance at 2:30 p. m. and there will he another at 5.30
m The stage is set up like a three-ring circus and clothes are thown in three sequences - Daze
Time, Dizzy Time and Doll Time. Coed members of Block's college fashton board model in the fast-moving panorama of fash fons for higher education. Daze Time, a necessary evil
on canrpns, includes study and sleepwear, From all” appeaft-. . ances “they are one and the
sme. Gay cotton flannel lounge robes, smart crepe fifjamas with their own quilted coolie jackets and. robe-dresses are suitable for either desk or dormitory. Robe - dresses, something new this year, also are suitable for aswering the doorbell, A clever one shown is of striped ¢otton quilted over plain chamois cot ton.
» n » DIZZY TIME includes clothes for all campus activities. Here the casual tweed dress in both allm and full versions takes the lead. Sweaters and skirts and new machine-knit dresses also look” smart. Most likely to succeed among coats shown is the 1952 version of what some may remember as the “rumble-seat” coat. This vear it is called the Timmy coat and is made of dishwater-blond alpaca. The three-quarter-length
version fs most popular because it goes over everything and is easier to handle in the classroom Doll Time, in case you aren't in-the-know, means date time. This “ring” gave hints on looking lovely for somebody special

gown has a middy top of blue - iridescent taffeta with a rhine-
atofie-studded neckline under an unbelted tunic jacket with rhine-stone-splashed collar, The skirt ig fan-pleated all around. Waltzlength formals are newest,
These come just above the shoes and give the grace of a fulllength dress without mopping the ballroom.
