Lynn Bari Steps Out Of Siren Roles
LYNN BARI, star of television's “Boss Lady” (Ch, 10, 8 p. m.), is grateful to TV for the opportunity to: step out of her screen siren roles. In the video series, she’s seen as the sympatehtic head of a home-building firm, with swarms of male suitors anxious to win her. The role came after she'd spent vears in Hollywood, decked out in expensive clothes and stealing other women's men on the screen,
Lynn said she turned her back on Hollywood when the studios began to refer to screen vixens as playing “Lynn Bari” roles. In addition to capably handling her TV role as a heroine instead of a heel, Lynn also has done stints as a show girl and dancer.
Another advantage of her new career, says Lynn, is her freedom |

“Television,” he said, “is largely a case of quick memorization and polished acting on the first or second ‘take. This is a field where production moves at top speed and the player has to be ready to move with it.” But Glenn isn't too eager to scorn Hollywood and the bigscreen movies, His wife, Adele Jergens, still is contributing a healthy chunk to the family bankroll through her movie roles.
