Cut in School Time Might Be Necessary In Four Townships
By DAVID WATSON | | Marion County schools will open next month with about
12500 children facing possible half-day classes. County Superintendent Robert F. Gladden today said
the actual number of pupils going on half days has not been ce — —— determined because some pre{school conferences are still to be held. ! But preliminary reports show that school time in four townships might need cutting because classes are too crowded. Dr. Spencer Myers, deputy superintendent of Indianapolis public schools, said city children willy be on full time schedules this fall.
