‘Billy Budd’ Opera Premiere
Times State Service BLOOMINGTON, Aug. 7T—Another opera will be premiered at Indiana University this fall, Benjamin Britten's “Billy Budd.” The IU Opera Workshop will present the American premiere of! the operatic production based oh Herman Melville's book Dec. 5, Dean Wilfred C. Bain of the University’'s music school announced. This single performance production will be the sixth opera premiere to be given at the University since Dean Bain joined the school in 1947. An all-male cast of IU students, will present the opera, with Ernst Hoffman as musical director and Hans Busch as stage director,
