Mr. Blankenship was out in a motorboat with his brother-in-law, Cpl. Donald Hicks, 23, Brownstown. Changed Seats Just seconds before the bullet struck, the two men had’changed seats. Cpl. Hicks had been trying unsuccessfully to start the motor and they switched seats so Mr. Blankenship. could try. Cpl. Hicks said his brother-in-

Today the yvouhg widow attended the inquest after making arrangements for funeral serv-
ices at G. H. Herrman Funeral Home, Military rites will be conducted at 10 a. m. Wednesday in the funeral home and at 2 p. m. in Brownstown Baptist Church for Mr. Blankenship, who served four years in the Navy. Burial will be in Brownstown. The wild bullet ended Mr. Blankenship's life less than 48 hours after he had told his wife he had a “premonition” of death. “He wasn't feeling well Friday night,” she =aid. “He said then he didn't think he had long to live.” But the comment was forgotten until yesterday when he changed seats in time to be in the path of the fatal bullet.

Northeast Side Plot Given Push
Plans for expansion of a huge new housing area on the Northe east Side today were given pare tial approval by the Works Board, Marbar omes, Inc. already asking annexation of a T79-acre tract hounded by 38th and 42d St., from Arlington Ave. to Graham St. got an OK today to include the area north. from 42d to 46th St. The Works Board approved sewage disposal plans which call for use of the 38th St. main relief sewer, scheduled to be constructed next year, : The housing firm refused to reveal its plans for construction although the Plan Commission said the company has asked for singlefamily zoning in the area. A business district is scheduled for the northwest corner of the tract. Business zoning has been requested for that section. Based on average types of building, the new tract is exe pected to include 1200 homes. Marbar Homes now is comepleting development of an East Side section and refused today to reveal exact plans for the Northeast Side project until the Irvington development is completed.
