CLEVELAND, Aug. 2 — Faur operating brotherhoods threatened today to walk off their jobs tomorrow morning on New York [Central Railroad lines east of Buffalo, N. Y,, in a dispute over working rules. : The unions went ahead with plans to close down the railroad’s {eastern system even though top officers were opposed to a strike on such short notice.
