From all over thé United States and from foreign lands choral leaders and choral singing instructors come to attend his Choral Workshop at Shawnee on-the-Delaware, Pa, None of them are tyros or untutored soloists. Each is a teacher in his | own right eager to learn Fred's inimitable methods and hoping to acquire a little of his genius. The Workshop is a unique institution. It began several years ago when Fred was besieged with requests from choral directors and teachers who wished to sit fn at .rehearsals of his radio shows to study his way of doing things.

Hundreds and hundreds more wrote in asking to attend.” So great was the demand that five years ago Fred established the Choral Workshop at Shawnee-on-Delaware. It consisted of eight one-week sessions, and took care of up to 750 teacher-pupils,
