done unusual things, He began], making a name for himself as|

a boxer at 14 and won many matches, When he was married, he said his vows at midnight, instead of the conventional time usually chosen for such ceremonies. In fact, there he was “waiting at the church” for about four hours before the wedding. But he was waiting for the arrival of the minister and not for his bride,

Influenced by Chaplain

Church and Sunday ' school played but little part in Paul's youth, in his boxing days. It was not until he came under the influence of Chaplain Hal H. Martin in Korea that Paul's life and viewpoint were completely changed and he decided to study for the ministry. Naturally enough, the chaplain first aroused the young soldier's interest because of his skill as a table tennis player. Paul thought any preacher who could come off wihner as often as Chaplain Martin must have * worthwhile things to say. And Paul listened to him. The about-to-be missionary will tell you as he told me in his own sincerely boyish way: “I found Christ in Korea. I'm going to take him back there. It’s a torn-apart country.” He recalled with a shiver the day Chaplain Martin baptized him and four other soldiers in a little bombed-out church in Korea. The boys carried water to the church pool in buckets and were immersed by the chaplain on a chilly April day. The impression left by the service lingers vividly with Paul Ingram.

Ome of Eight Children

Paul's father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Ingram, had eight children. Attention is shared and divided when there are that many in a family. Paul, accordingly, spent a great deal of time in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Rahm. He pays high tribute to the couple, says they added a great deal to his growing years. School, of course, seemed a bit unexciting along about the sophomore year at Manual and Paul dropped his studies and joined, the Army. He was just 16 but contrived to get in. He returned from Korea at 19 and entered the Lincoln Bible Institute, Lincoln, Ill. There he met Miss Joan Ragsdale of Jamestown, Ind. also a student, who later became Mrs. Ingram. For the past three years, the Rev. Ingram has attended the institute part of each week and ministered to “the Church of Christ, Covington, Ind., the other days. The Ingrams decided to be married following services one Sunday night’ in the Covington Church. The worship ended at 8:30 with quite a sizable congregation present including 16 min-
