Aircraft Broker Sued by In-Laws

NOBLESVILLE, July 24 (UP) —A wealthy aircraft broker's exBritish in-laws sued him today for allegedly stopping payment on two checks which they said were settle an international feud between two families, John and Pamelia Leery, sister and brother-in-law of Theodore H. Thompson's British exwife, charged in a suit filed in Hamilton Circuit Court that he stopped payment on checks for $900 and $600 which -were “a settlement of all disputes between the Thompsons and the Ingrams.” Robert M. Ingram, an inspector of Barclay’s Bank in London, is father of Mrs. Leery and Mr. Thompson's former wife, Jean. He previously was found guilty | of illegal detainer growing out of a Christmas holiday feud with’ Mr. Thompson and fined $50. Mr. Thompson claimed the inlaws came visiting and locked! him out of his country estate. Mr. Ingram said he was defend-! ing his daughter's property in-! terests. i The Leerys appealed their conviction on a charge of trespass. |
