Bible Anniversary Special services and memorials, including ‘issue of a 3-cent commemorative stamp, are planned for Sept. 30, the 500th anniversary of the printing of the first Bible from movable type. In addition to emphasizing the impact of the Bible on the peoples of the “world, the stamp will honor Johann Gutenberg, whose 1452 invention of movable printing type revolutionized the publishing industry.

Excursion Thirty-two Hoosier boys and girls with outstanding achievements in 4-H Club work will be awarded an 8-day trip to national pites and memorials in the East by the Stark & Wetzel Co., Inc. Chosen in competition with other 4-H members from throughout the state, the winners will assemble in Indianapolis Sept. 6 and return here Sept. 13.
