Busy on Telephone

B. R. Evans, the association's executive secretary, learned today! they never arrived. He was busy today phoning as many as possible of the editors who didn't get their invitations. He said he still expected 25 or 30 at the dinner tonight. ; Mr. Evans also was busy trying to learn what happened to the invitations, He said postal authorities ‘told him that some charred mail had arrived here recently and that it was possible the invitations had burned in a mail car
