Model Planes Fly Tonight On TV |
“By Kathleen TELEVISION will get a preview of The Times-spon-sored All - American Model
Plane Championships tonight on Gilbert Forbes’ 10:15 newscast on WFBM-TV * The model plane contest, which will attract some 250 builders, will be staged Sunday from 10 a. m. until 5 p. m. at Sky Harbor Airport. Giving an advance account ‘of the thrills the public will see as the tiny planes fly in competition will be Geo! (Curley) Clingman, veteran aviation and contest director; Harry McQuinn, former race driver and a representative of Indianapolis Plymouth dealers, and Dr. Paul C, Hulse, representing the Exchange Clubs. The Plymouth dealers and Exchange Clubs are co-operating with The Times in staging the contest. Also appearing on Mr. Forbes’ newscast will be an entrant in the model flights and a display of some of the planes.
