Interest Rates up On Disaster Loans
WASHINGTON, June 17 (UP)|

Corp. yesterday raised interest
rates on ‘disaster loans” to pri-
vate business from three to five
per cent, RFC Administrator Harry A.
McDonald said the new rates will}
be effective on all disaster loans to businesses in any area declared a “disaster area” from yesterday and hereafter. The new rate also
- will apply for loans requested
after July 31 from any area previously designated as a disaster area.
