But an Indianapolis divorce court judge came up with a new twist—a home-made hat for wifebeating husbands. ® Superior Court 3 Judge Norman E. Brennan yesterday heard a youthful husband admit he “hit” his wife, an expectant mother. “About this time,” Judge Brennan told the wife, “you should do some hat making—make him a hat out of your best skillet.”

Hildebrandt, who lives with his] wife and two children in West| Warwick, and Miss Dale had been spending their evenings in Greenwich Village at Tony Pastor's Night Club where Miss Dale sings. It was learned that Hildebrandt sometimes spent as much as -§150 to $200 a night. Meanwhile, agents Warwick arrested Robert R. La-| plante, 27-year-old Air Force vet-| eran who was employed as a mechanic at the Quonset Air Station until last week. FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover, who announced the arrests in Washington, said Hildebrandt | and Laplante were charged with! robbery on a government reservation. Miss Dale, who has been’ singing at Pastor’s since Apr. 16, was held as a material witness.
